ADP: adposition

Postpositions in Kazakh receive the tag ADP. We only consider postpositions to be those which govern a case and are not in izafet construction with their complement.

Examples

Treebank Statistics (UD_Kazakh)

There are 7 ADP lemmas (3%), 9 ADP types (3%) and 13 ADP tokens (2%). Out of 15 observed tags, the rank of ADP is: 8 in number of lemmas, 9 in number of types and 9 in number of tokens.

Morphology

The form / lemma ratio of ADP is 1.285714 (the average of all parts of speech is 1.240602).

The 1st highest number of forms (3) was observed with the lemma “лы”: ді, лы, ті.

The 2nd highest number of forms (1) was observed with the lemma “басқа”: басқа.

The 3rd highest number of forms (1) was observed with the lemma “бойынша”: бойынша.

ADP does not occur with any features.

Relations

ADP nodes are attached to their parents using 1 different relations: kk-dep/case (13; 100% instances)

Parents of ADP nodes belong to 2 different parts of speech: NOUN (12; 92% instances), VERB (1; 8% instances)

13 (100%) ADP nodes are leaves.

The highest child degree of a ADP node is 0.
