Definition

Adposition is a cover term for prepositions and postpositions. Danish has prepositions but not postposition.

Treebank Statistics (UD_Danish)

There are 54 ADP lemmas (0%), 57 ADP types (0%) and 10601 ADP tokens (12%). Out of 17 observed tags, the rank of ADP is: 8 in number of lemmas, 9 in number of types and 3 in number of tokens.

The 10 most frequent ADP lemmas: i, til, på, af, med, for, om, som, fra, ved

The 10 most frequent ADP types: i, til, på, af, med, for, om, som, fra, ved

The 10 most frequent ambiguous lemmas: i (ADP 2557, ADV 10, X 1), til (ADP 1155, ADV 32, SCONJ 9), (ADP 1151, ADV 15), af (ADP 1131, ADV 27, X 2), med (ADP 959, ADV 75, X 3), for (ADP 893, ADV 58, CCONJ 48, X 1), om (ADP 493, SCONJ 56, ADV 17), som (ADP 478, PRON 228, ADV 14), fra (ADP 353, ADV 8, SCONJ 2), ved (ADP 226, ADV 8)

Morphology

The form / lemma ratio of ADP is 1.055556 (the average of all parts of speech is 1.349187).

The 1st highest number of forms (3) was observed with the lemma “per”: Per, pr, pr..

The 2nd highest number of forms (2) was observed with the lemma “blandt”: bl., blandt.

The 3rd highest number of forms (1) was observed with the lemma “ad”: ad.

ADP occurs with 2 features: da-feat/AdpType (10019; 95% instances), da-feat/PartType (478; 5% instances)

ADP occurs with 2 feature-value pairs: AdpType=Prep, PartType=Inf

ADP occurs with 3 feature combinations. The most frequent feature combination is AdpType=Prep (10019 tokens). Examples: i, til, på, af, med, for, om, fra, ved, efter
